Google Forms is a great tool for surveys, quizzes or simple data collection. It’s easy to use and works with Google Sheets for data export and analysis. But did you know that you can also embed Google Forms charts in Google Docs? Google Workspace users can embed responses from Google Forms into a Google Doc. The embedded charts can be updated as soon as new responses come in, so you don’t need to copy and paste the chart to reflect the latest data. This trick will keep charts up to date in any relevant documents. To get started, open the Responses page in Google Forms and copy any chart you want to add to a document. There are lots of charts available in Google Forms, including pie charts and bar graphs. Open the relevant document and right-click anywhere you want to insert the chart; click Paste. You can also use the shortcut Ctrl + V on Windows or ⌘ + V on Mac. In the pop-up window, select Link to form to enable updates directly in the document. This eliminates the need to re-copy the chart every time new responses come in. When new responses come in, form editors will see an Update button displayed in the top right corner of the chart. Click the button to include the latest form responses in the chart data. Form collaborators will only see a link to the source form. This feature is available to all Google Workspace users, including G Suite Basic and Business customers, as well as personal Google accounts. If you have any questions about this feature or other Google Forms settings, don’t hesitate to ask our Google Workspace Community .
